In this refund policy, the following definitions are used:

Modernroadtrips, or us

Modernroadtrips, a company incorporated in England and Wales with registered number 09245003 whose registered office is at 154C QUEENSTOWN ROAD, LONDON, SW8 3QE

User or you

Any third party that accesses the Website and is not either (i) employed by Modernroadtrips and acting in the course of their employment or (ii) engaged as a consultant or otherwise providing services to Modernroadtrips and accessing the Website in connection with the provision of such services

Website

the website that you are currently using, www.modernroadtrips.com, and any sub-domains of this site unless expressly excluded by their own terms and conditions

Scope of this refund policy

This refund policy applies only to the actions of Modernroadtrips and Users with respect to this Website. It does not extend to any websites that can be accessed from this Website including, but not limited to, any links we may provide to social media websites.

Coronavirus Pandemic - Special Measures.

Due to the special circumstances arising from the Coronavirus pandemic we have made a change to our refund policy and now allow free cancellation on all trips. Our Users need to notify Modernroadtrips at least 10 working days before the start of their trip and we will arrange a full refund. This will allow you to book with confidence and monitor the situation if you have any concerns with the areas that you are planning on travelling to.

The refund policy

A User can request a refund, for any booked trip, of Modernroadtrips, at any time.  Such requests must be made in writing, using the email address hello@Modernroadtrips.co.uk.  The User must include details of the trip to allow Modernroadtrips to trace the particular booking for which a refund is sought; including the booking reference number, the date the trip was booked, and the customer’s name.
 

Accommodation/transport/leisure services purchased for a particular timeframe are excluded from the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, as are package holidays (those that have been prearranged for an inclusive price and include at least two of the following: transport, accommodation, excursions or car hire).  Therefore there is no obligation on Modernroadtrips to offer refunds.

Nevertheless, Modernroadtrips will process each refund request on a reasonable endeavours basis.  This should be taken to mean that:

  • The refund request will be reviewed and acted upon in a reasonable timescale, likely within 5 working days from the receipt of the request
  • Where no costs will be incurred by Modernroadtrips for cancelling the roadtrip, the User will receive a refund
  • Where costs are incurred by Modernroadtrips for cancelling the roadtrip, the User will not receive a refund
  • In cases where some costs are incurred by Modernroadtrips, but elements of a trip can be cancelled without charge, the User will receive a partial refund

In all cases, a reasonable administration cost may be charged to the User by Modernroadtrips for processing the refund request.
